Fixed Term

The Governors of St Julian’s Primary are seeking to appoint two exceptional and highly-motivated teachers of primary aged children. The appointments will be for fixed term contracts from 24 June 2024 to 31 March 2025.

The successful candidates will:

• be creative and inspirational practitioners with a commitment to high standards;
• have the ability to provide exciting, creative, challenging and empowering learning opportunities;
• be excellent role models for children and colleagues;
• have a good understanding of a skills based experiential curriculum with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills;
• have excellent teaching, organisational and communication skills;
• have the ability to inspire a love of learning in children;
• work effectively and creatively as part of a team;
• have the ability to build good relationships with children, parents, governors and the wider community;
• contribute effectively and enthusiastically to the wider life of the school.

The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors. The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
