Hafod Primary School - Additional Learning Needs Provision Lead -Teaching Assistant Level 4

Hafod Primary School is committed to providing a safe, happy and nurturing environment in which all children thrive. We provide a relevant, engaging and inclusive curriculum that stimulates the natural curiosity of every child and is responsive to their individual needs. We effectively facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills and understanding to empower our children to become successful learners throughout life.

The school is developing a provision, 'Y Porth', which will support a small group of learners with a variety of Additional Learning Needs throughout the day. We are seeking an outstanding individual who will take the lead in supporting these children to develop holistically. The successful candidate will:

• have experience supporting learners with Autism in an educational setting
• be motivated to plan and lead engaging activities for children with Additional Learning Needs so that they can make excellent progress in their learning
• follow the provision set out in the children's Individual Development Plans and help to review these plans during Person Centred Reviews
• engage with parents to give them feedback on the learning in the class.
• have high expectations for the children
• carry out duties and responsibilities as set out in the job description
• have excellent communication skills and be committed to building positive relationships with the children, parents, staff and governors
• be able to work effectively as part of a team in conjunction with the headteacher, ALNco, Senior Leadership Team, staff, children and governors
• be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community

The ability to drive and ownership of a car would be desirable. This is subject to confirmation of funding and a satisfactory 6 months' probation period.
