Gladstone Primary is a wonderful school that dates back to 1906 and consists of two main buildings with extensive playgrounds and green spaces. The school sits majestically overlooking Gladstone Road with views across to Barry Docks and the Bristol Channel. There are currently 442 pupils on roll (3-11 years) with 29.9% eFSM.

Description:

Following the retirement of our Headteacher we are seeking to appoint a Headteacher who cares passionately about providing excellence for our children.

Job requirements:

To carry out professional duties in accordance with and subject to:

  • the School Teachers Pay and Conditions document

  • the provisions of the Education Acts

  • any orders and regulations having effect there under

  • the Instrument of Government of the school of which they are a Headteacher

  • any scheme prepared by the Local Education Authority under Section 48 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998

  • the Terms of their contract of employment

  • any rules, regulations or policies laid down by the Authority, with respect to matters for which the Governing Body under their powers has derived from any of the sources specified above

  • any rules, regulations or policies laid down by the Authority with respect to matters for which the Governing Body is not responsible.
