Location of post: Neath Library, Water St, Neath SA11 3EPYour workstyle in this role will require you to work from a fixed workplace and will require frontline work.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to join our team as a senior Library Assistant. The successful candidate will ideally have public library experience, be confident, friendly and organised, with the ability to support and manage a busy town library in the absence of the Area Librarian. We are seeking someone who can help deliver a welcoming, inclusive and high quality public library service for our communities.

Do you have:
- Experience of working in a Library or customer service environment
- Experience of motivating, supporting and managing others
- Have the ability to be flexible in terms of hours and location
- Good problem solving skills and the ability to respond appropriately to enquiries, complaints, incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Able to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to supporting reading, learning, digital inclusion, wellbeing and community engagement
