Whitestone Primary School: Teacher for Cluster Enhanced ALN Provision

Overview:
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled person to the post of Teacher for an Enhanced ALN Provision serving pupils from a local cluster of schools. The right candidate for this post will have experience teaching pupils with ALN and a proven track record in improving standards of pupils with ALN.

The Headteachers of the local cluster are seeking to appoint a well-motivated and outstanding teacher with drive and enthusiasm to this post to commence on 1 September 2026.

Key Job Requirements:
  • To provide educational programmes suitable for learners within the Cluster Enhanced ALN Provision
  • To ensure that all pupils within the Cluster Enhanced ALN Provision have Individual Development Plans (IDPs), which are regularly planned, reviewed and monitored
  • To ensure that colleagues working within the Cluster Enhanced ALN Provision are appropriately involved in supporting learning and understand the roles they are expected to fulfil
  • To work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure that pupils in the Cluster Enhanced ALN Provision experience a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum based upon pupils' individual needs
  • To contribute to staff development by discussion with colleagues concerning the ongoing needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with ALN
  • To have an excellent understanding of child development and the needs of pupils with ALN
  • To be able to establish excellent relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • To provide timely, accurate and constructive feedback on learners' attainment, progress and areas for development
  • To attend events, supporting the school and community
  • To have a commitment to continued professional development for yourself and others

The Right Candidate Will:
  • Be a qualified teacher
  • Have a proven track record of supporting pupils with ALN
  • Show enthusiasm and commitment for working in partnership with children, staff, governors, parents and the local community
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and wider life of the school using energy and enthusiasm
  • Have some experience working with multi-agencies in relation to Wellbeing and ALN
  • Have an innovative, collaborative and creative approach
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Have high expectations that motivate, support and challenge staff and pupils alike
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, inter-personal and organisational skills
  • Be flexible and forward thinking in your approach
