The Role:

The governors are seeking to appoint an excellent and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and skilled team of professionals in our happy and caring school.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and inspirational Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Cover Supervisor to support children across the primary age range. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a vibrant and forward-thinking school community.

The successful candidate will-
  • Support teaching and learning across the primary age range (27.5 hours per week), including delivering engaging whole-class lessons during PPA, leadership time, and staff absence;
  • Work confidently with individuals and groups, promoting inclusion and supporting children with additional needs;
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management, strong literacy and numeracy skills, and a secure understanding of the Curriculum for Wales;
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to enabling every child to succeed, with high expectations for behaviour and progress;
  • Show flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to embrace new initiatives and approaches;
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents, building positive relationships across the school community;
  • Be a team player who contributes to continuous school improvement and is committed to ongoing professional development;
  • Approach challenges with determination, positivity, and a can-do attitude - making a real difference every day
