Burlais Primary School: Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 4

Cyflog: GBP 28,142.00 per year
A full Time Teaching Assistant Level 4 (27 ½ hours per week) to work alongside our ALNCO and other support staff in providing high quality support in our 'Hive' Enhanced Inclusion Provision. This will be a temporary appointment until the 31 of March 2027 in the first instance. Current salary: £28,142 (pro-rata, FTE). The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1 September.Burlais Primary School is a successful and happy school serving the communities of Manselton and Cwmbwrla. The school has wonderful new-build facilities and is proud to be at the heart of the community. Our most recent Estyn inspection stated, "Burlais Primary School is safe, secure and welcoming. The successful candidate will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress and development.
The post requires:
- An excellent understanding and experience of supporting pupils with ALN
- Sensitivity, empathy and an understanding of the community we work in
- The relevant qualifications and experience in a school setting
- Excellent Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
- A proven track record of excellence
- A commitment to developing links with the community and an empathy with the aims and vision of the school
