Penllergaer Primary School is situated in Penllergaer, Swansea. We are a school that prides itself on its ethos, environment and the desire to do the very best for all within the school community. The children, staff and Governors of Penllergaer Primary are looking for a passionate, innovative, and inspirational teacher to join our happy, caring, and inclusive school. They will need the necessary professional skills to build on the solid foundations and excellent relationships that already exist in the school, continuing the high standards and fulfilling our motto of "Our School Is for Everyone".

The successful candidate must be a dynamic, resilient and innovative teacher who will help to grow the existing vision for the school whilst immersing themselves in the school community.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner
• Be creative and able to inspire learning beyond the classroom
• Embrace the use of Welsh language and inspire children to learn Welsh
• Have a clear understanding of the pedagogical principals that underpin Curriculum for Wales 2022
• Be someone who works extremely well as part of a team
• Have high expectations for the learning, behaviour and care of all pupils
• Be someone who is committed, hard-working and keen to offer to the wider life of the school
• Have good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• A desire to promote a play-based approach, independent learning, innovative approaches and a high level of learner engagement
• Have effective ICT skills and can use these to enhance learning
• Be willing to lead within an area of learning
• Be willing to provide children with extra-curricular opportunities
