About usSt Athan Primary is a one form entry primary school with a nursery. Our school building is a single-story structure built in 1967 and has been well maintained over the years. A fire in February 2025 caused extensive damage to one wing of the school and rebuilding work has just began to replace this space, in the meantime a modern demountable structure is being utilised.
Originally being a much larger school, we are fortunate to have adequate space for community rooms and breakout areas for children who have difficulty regulating their behaviour. The school grounds are extensive with a large playing field and playgrounds, and a well-established outdoor learning area.
Ambitious - Forward thinking, embracing new ways of working and investing in our future.
Open - Open to different ideas and being accountable for the decisions we take.
Together - Working together as a team that engages with our customers and partners, respects diversity and is committed to quality services.
Proud - Proud of the Vale of Glamorgan; proud to serve our communities and to be part of the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
