About the role
Pay Details: Grade 7 (SP20-25) - £32,597 - £36,393 (Pro Rata), £16.90 - £18.85 (Per Hour)

Description:
To lead, coordinate, drive and build on best practice in supporting all Vale of Glamorgan schools and the Local Authority on the implementation of the Community Focused Schools (CFS). This role will ensure schools are effectively engaging with families, communities, and multi-agency partners to support learner wellbeing, raise attainment, and maximise the use of school/local authority assets for our learners' benefit.
About you
You will need:
- Proven experience in education, community development, or public service leadership.
- Experience of managing staff and leading multi-agency collaboration.
- Strong understanding of the Community Focused Schools agenda and its role in tackling inequality and improving outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and produce strategic reports.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in education, community development, social sciences, or a related field.
- ICT skills
- Evidence of continued professional development relevant to education, leadership, or community engagement.
- Relevant experience in either:
- A school-based teaching or leadership role (e.g. teacher, ALNCo, senior leader), or
- A non-school-based education or community role (e.g. youth work, adult learning, family support, local authority education services).
- A strong belief in the power of education to transform lives and reduce inequality.
- Commitment to inclusive, community-led approaches that place learners and families at the centre.
- Passion for building partnerships and working collaboratively across sectors.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Willingness to travel across the Vale of Glamorgan and work flexibly to meet the needs of schools and communities.
- Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate
- Increased family and community engagement across Vale schools.
- Improved learner wellbeing and attainment through holistic support.
- Enhanced use of school facilities for community benefit.
- Stronger partnerships between schools and local services.
