The Governing Body is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dependable, self-driven, hardworking, and conscientious individual to play a vital role in maintaining our school grounds, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the entire school community.
The successful candidates will need to:
Previous experience would be beneficial, but training will be provided. The successful candidate will be required to act as a key holder. The FT hours of work are approximately Monday to Friday 6:00am - 12:00am and 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
We would also be interested in speaking to candidates who may be interested in a job share. Possible job share options could include:
Option A - One person work in the morning and another in the afternoon
Option B - One person open and close the school (06:00 - 07:30 + 16:00 - 18:00) and another complete handyman tasks (time to be agreed during the school day)
There is the possibility that anyone taking the roles could be offered permanent work in the future.

The successful candidates will need to:
- Live and promote the school motto - "Putting children first"
- Be an excellent team player
- Be cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff
- Possess a range of general maintenance skills
- Have an ability to work on their own initiative in recognising jobs that require attention and prioritise their daily workload
- Have physical fitness to undertake some heavy lifting, moving and handling, including general portage
- Be able to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of contractors and building services
- Have a current, full driving licence
- Ideally have COSHH awareness
- Take pride in helping to maintain and develop our school grounds and outdoor learning provision.
- Be well organised and highly motivated
- Be trustworthy in order to lock/unlock school buildings and areas each day
- Have a willingness to participate in development and training opportunities
- Be prepared to carry out work associated with caretaking, which may be necessary in support of the function of the establishment as may reasonably be required
