St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Clydach: School Administrator to include Clerk to the Governing body

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a committed and conscientious administrator to provide a key role in managing our busy school office. The post requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with children, colleagues, parents and visitors. Duties will include full administration support for the school, managing financial administration procedures, taking a lead role in planning, monitoring and evaluation of the school budget. We are looking for someone to join us who will enjoy working in a friendly school where being part of a team is essential.
In addition to the Minute Secretary role and the Governor's Terms of Office role the Governing Body are seeking to appoint a committed and conscientious administrator who is competent in the preparation of
reports with full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation. The role requires experience of facilitating meetings and the ability to interpret legal and procedural documents.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Previous school administrator experience and knowledge of Sims would be beneficial. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
In addition to the School Administrator role, you would also be required to fulfil the Clerk to the Governing Body role.

- to assist the Governing body in the preparation of the Annual Report to Parents and Annual Parents' Meeting;
- to set up Governors' hearings, interviews and appeal committees;
- to advise the Governing Body on law, standing orders and procedural matters where necessary during the meeting;
- to advise the Governing Body on where to obtain relevant advice and information.
