Ysgol Gymraeg Y Cwm is a happy, caring and inclusive school that is at the heart of its community. The school is located on a large site which provides excellent opportunities for outdoor learning. The Governors of Ysgol Gymraeg Y Cwm are looking for a passionate, innovative and inspirational leader who has the necessary professional skills to build on the solid foundations and excellent relationships already in place.
The successful candidate must be a dynamic and resilient leader with a vision to encourage the growth and prosperity of the school while responding to local and national priorities.

We are looking for a warm and welcoming head who has to show:
  • Passion to promoting the Welsh culture and increase the use of Welsh in formal and informal situations across the school and within the wider community.
  • A commitment to enhance our unique and inclusive vision and ethos.
  • Passion for supporting and improving everyone's wellbeing.
  • A belief that all children, regardless of their background or ability, can succeed.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, enabling each child to reach their full potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating and empowering others.
  • The ability to look beyond the school gates and develop positive and effective relationships with families and the wider community.
