Clydach Primary School - Nursery manager (Level 4 Teaching assistant)

Cyflog: GBP 25,979.00 - 27,269.00 per year

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Clydach Primary School wish to appoint an excellent teaching assistant to the post of Nursery manager and to run interventions across the school. The successful candidate will join our team on a temporary full-time basis; the role will be for 27.5 hours per week and is offered as a one-year temporary post to start 1 September 2025. The post is subject to term time only adjustment if the appointment date is after the start of the academic year.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to take a lead for planning, preparing and delivering learning activities in the Nursery classroom. In addition, taking a lead on observing pupils, recording and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress and development within the Nursery classroom
• Has a sound understanding of the non-maintained curriculum and how to be an enabling adult
• Is able to work effectively as part of a team
• Has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
• Has experience of working in a school, ideally in both the Foundation Learning department and older classes
• Is able to work with pupil for 1:1 intervention and also pupils in small groups to help them achieve their educational goals
• Has experience of running pastoral support (e.g. ELSA, Thrive)
• Can offer creative ways to engage pupils in their education
• Is compassionate, understanding and inclusive
• Can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning
• Will be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community
