The EP must be able to work flexibly, manage complex work streams simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Applicants should have experience of working within a consultation-based model of service delivery. Applicants will need to show an understanding of the unique contribution EPs can make to the education and wellbeing of all.

The EPS has a long history of providing high quality services to schools as well as providing training and capacity building activities. Applicants will need to evidence collaborative and team working skills that can contribute to the development of the EPS. A sound knowledge of the ALNET Act (2018) and The Additional Learning Needs Code for Wales (2021) is vital.

The successful candidate will report to the Principal and Senior Educational Psychologists.

Applicants must have already attained an undergraduate and/or higher degree granting Graduate Basis for Recognition (GBR) with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Applicants must also be registered as a practitioner EP with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or be in their final year of a doctoral training programme in educational psychology that confers eligibility to register with the HCPC as a EP.
