The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are always maintained across Maindee Primary School and Nursery.

Duties include:

• Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors.
• Sweeping and mopping classroom floors
• Wiping, polishing, dusting and spray cleaning surfaces, furniture, materials, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass
• Emptying and cleaning bins
• Cleaning toilets (children’s toilets and staff toilets) including sanitary fittings and surrounds
• Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc.
• Maintaining cleaning cupboard order and stock levels
• Spot cleaning spillages,
• Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time

This is a 15-hour contract.

The successful candidate will take up the post as soon as possible.

The appointment process will involve an interview with the Headteacher and or business manager and members of the Governing Body.
