Pillgwenlly Primary School is situated in the docks area of inner-city Newport, the Local Education Authority (LEA) in which it is located. There are 660 pupils on roll from the ages of three to eleven which includes a nursery. The school serves a multi-cultural, diverse community and reflects 38 different languages spoken, with the percentage of children with English as an additional language at 81.7%.
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and talented classroom teachers to join our dedicated team of staff and new school building. The new building provides first-class facilities, including a 4G sports pitch, where our growing school community can thrive and flourish.
The Headteacher and Governors of Pillgwenlly Primary School are seeking to appoint two Classroom Teachers to work on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be committed to children's wellbeing, learning and raising standards. A nurturing, positive and caring attitude is an essential part of this role.
We are looking for a primary teacher who;

• have an excellent understanding of the Curriculum for Wales;

• is able to bring passion, energy, enthusiasm and be driven to fulfill the role to the best of their ability;
• have the ability to build excellent relationships with parents and the wider school community;
• work effectively as part of a large hard working team.
