Location: Itec House (CF11 8TT, Onsite).
Contract: Full, permanent. Part-time options are available and can be discussed.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm

About the role
As a part-time Welsh Language Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the business’s commitment to the Welsh language through content creation, translation, and networking.
As part of the Marketing team, you will assist the Marketing Executive in writing case studies, creating videos, and producing bilingual social media content. You will also contribute to the marketing strategy, ensuring it supports contract delivery and enhances the overall profile of the business
Your impact
• Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to create positive news stories promoting Welsh language and culture.
• Produce engaging video content for ‘Welsh Wednesdays.’
• Represent the company at external Welsh-language meetings.
• Identify opportunities to promote the Welsh language and culture internally and externally.
• Assist in developing Welsh-language marketing materials.
• Support operational teams in promoting Welsh-language resources and learning opportunities.
• Work with HR to deliver the Welsh action plan and projects funded by the Welsh promotion grant (Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol).
• Maintain Cynnig Cymraeg accreditation.
• Translate internal communications, social media posts, and blogs into Welsh.
• Ensure Welsh-language accessibility on the company website.
• Maintain Welsh-language access to key internal policies and documents.
• Translate external Welsh-language enquiries.

What are we looking for?
Essential
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• The ability to speak Welsh
• Full driving license with use of own vehicle
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company)
