The Role As Deputy Headteacher, you will:
  • Lead by example, inspiring both pupils and staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Play a pivotal role in driving improvements in teaching and learning, particularly in mathematics and progression and assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with the headteacher, governors, and staff to implement innovative strategies and sustain our inclusive vision.
  • Champion well-being, safeguarding, and the development of confident communicators across the school.
  • Support professional learning and mentoring to empower staff and ensure leadership is distributed effectively.
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation, ensuring learning is engaging, challenging, and reflective of our local and global context.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and community engagement, strengthening our partnerships with families and external agencies.
  • Have a full time teaching commitment

About You
We're looking for a leader who:
  • Is an outstanding educator with a proven track record of success in teaching and leadership.
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships across the school community.
  • Is passionate about developing pupil well-being, inclusivity, and independent learning.
  • Is committed to excellence in curriculum delivery, particularly in areas needing further development.
  • Has experience of managing and enhancing provision for pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Can think creatively to address challenges and inspire innovation in school practices.
  • Embraces the Welsh language and culture, actively promoting its development across the school.
