The role:

Gower College is seeking to appoint two Schools support worker to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the exciting 14-16 Schools programme. Both posts will be in the landscaping and eco construction learning area, one post will be working with Junior Academy learners.
  • Part-time (20 - 25 hours per week)
  • Term-time (36 weeks per annum)
  • Permanent
  • Based on 20 hours per week, pro rata salary would be £10,663 per annum (£24,691 FTE)
  • Tycoch campus
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and mentor young people, some with challenging behaviour supporting them to achieve their full potential
  • Liaise with the school staff and College lecturers, working together to create an effective environment for the learners
About you:
  • Maths and English GCSEs: A - C Grade or equivalent
  • Experience of working with young people in a similar job role

  • Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
  • Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
