The role:


An opportunity has arisen for a qualified practitioner in print making and textiles to join the Visual Arts Department on a flexible basis at the vibrant Llwyn y Bryn Campus of Gower College Swansea. You will have a range of print making skills, including screen printing as well as in textiles/surface pattern.
  • £17.53 - £34.51 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Hours: Variable
  • You will be paid a month in arrears e.g. any hours that you work in November, will be paid in December, and so forth.
  • Llwyn Y Bryn Campus, Swansea

  • Interviews will be held on Wednesday 15th January 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and teach across a range of courses ensuring schemes/records of work, assignment schedules, are appropriate to the syllabus content and awarding body standards
  • Ensure teaching and learning strategies and teaching materials are planned as well as accessible to meet the varied needs of all learners
  • Adopt and use digital tools/solutions for delivery and assessment on line in accordance with prescribed College endorsed platforms.
  • Assess and monitor learner progress, including the setting of targets, maintaining records of work and achievement in line with internal and external schedules/criteria and college targets
  • Keep up to date with curriculum developments
About you:
  • Possess a relevant degree and have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one.
  • Able to demonstrate a passion for the subject.
  • A very confident communicator and committed individual who can engage and inspire learners of all abilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a team player.
  • Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of learners.
