Governors wish to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Laboratory Technician with a six month probation in line with CCoS policy for September 2024.

The successful candidate will have very good numeracy and literacy skills. School laboratory experience is desirable. Your primary role will be laboratory support including housekeeping, health and safety, maintenance of equipment, organising and overseeing the use of resources.

You must have a can-do attitude, be adaptable, and have a flexible attitude to work. Candidates must have the ability to work under pressure and should be strong team players, able to support and promote the schools core values.
This is an important and busy role supporting the science department. Your role will involve providing technical support, ensuring that laboratory equipment is functioning properly and is ready to use, and that the right materials are available for particular lessons.

The successful candidate will be a highly valued member of our outstanding team of teachers and support staff. The Laboratory Technician will assist in the co-ordination of the use of practical resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the Science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff, Senior Lab technician and support staff outside the department.
There is a First Aid commitment with this post. Training will be provided.
