Fixed Term Contract: 31.08.25 in the first instance with the possibility of a permanent position
The Headteacher and Governing Body of Malpas Court Primary School are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and well qualified individual to become a key member of the ALN team, delivering nurture provision across the whole school. The role will involve working under the guidance of members of the School Leadership Team in order to deliver nurture provision from Year 1 to Year 6.
To complement the professional work of the teacher by taking responsibility for nurture activities under an agreed system of supervision. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering a range of activities for individuals/groups and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on learners’ progress and development.
You will be responsible for the management and development of a dedicated area within the school and/or management of other teaching assistants, including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.
You will have experience in a school setting and an understanding of nurture provision.
You will have NVQ Level 4 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a short observation group task.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
