Job information
Post No. POSN001402 - Teaching Assistant Level 4 - Tredegar Park Primary School

The children, staff and Governing Body of Tredegar Park Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join the school team.

We are looking for someone with passion and dedication in order to help us on our journey to provide the best quality education for all at Tredegar Park Primary School. The successful candidate will teach many classes to cover PPA. This cover will mainly be based in the lower school but there will be cover in the upper school also.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on Forest School. We are very fortunate to have an extensive Forest School within our school grounds. As part of our curriculum, our children visit the Forest School on a weekly basis to learn life skills and to get creative through the different months of the year.

As part of the role, the successful candidate will teach Forest School, Read Write Inc and Jigsaw lessons amongst other things.

PPA time will be given to prepare lessons each week. As Forest School is well-embedded across the school, lots of planning documents have already been produced. However, it will be the responsibility of the HLTA to ensure that the planning meets the needs of the classes taught and adaptations to planning will need to be made to ensure that learning opportunities are not missed.

All staff play a really important role in the life of Tredegar Park Primary School. We would like to appoint individuals who:

• Are able to develop excellent working relationships with all pupils, Governing Body members, staff and parents/carers.
• Are dedicated to the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of all pupils.
• Have high expectations of what all pupils can achieve and who will invest heavily in supporting them to reach their full potential.
• Are positive and respectful and reflect regularly on their practice in order to improve professionally.

Closing Date: Sunday 3rd November 2024

Shortlisting Date: Monday 4th November 2024

Interview Date: Wednesday 13th November 2024

Start Date: As soon as possible once DBS checks and references have been verified.

The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS)
