The Headteacher and Governing Body of St. Joseph’s RC Primary School are seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and trustworthy Caretaker to join our team.

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday on a split day.

We are looking for someone who is:

• enthusiastic and self-motivated
• reliable and conscientious
• an excellent team member who is willing to enter fully into the life of the school
• caring with a good sense of humour
• has the ability to identify own training and development needs and participate in on-going training.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential, you will need some knowledge of site security and Health and Safety You will have responsibility for opening and closing the school, cleaning, groundskeeping and maintenance tasks.

The person appointed will be required to work 37 hours with split shifts: -

Monday to Friday - 6.00 - 9:30am and 2:30 – 6:30pm except for Friday when the afternoon shift will be 2.30 – 6pm.
