Caretaker - St Julian's Primary School
Job information
Post No. POSN003883 - Caretaker St Julian's Primary School

1 Year Fixed Term

The Governors of St Julian's Primary are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and professional caretaker. The working week would be 37 hours and the successful candidate will be required to work a split shift during term time. Governors are willing to consider splitting the role between two part-time posts if that would be preferable to any successful candidates. The post is initially for a fixed period of one year. Annual leave must be taken during school closure periods.

The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly to ensure that the school functions with the appropriate caretaking support and will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as genuine commitment to the overall security, maintenance and development of the school site. On occasion it may be necessary to secure the site at a later time, due to school concerts, meetings etc.

The successful applicant would be required to start as soon as possible.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
