An exciting opportunity for a committed professional with knowledge and experience of local authority budgets, procurement and commissioning to join the Additional Learning Needs and Inclusion team.

This is a key role within the education department, with responsibilities including budget setting and closing of accounts, employee budgets, budget monitoring, grant management, invoice processing, purchasing of goods and services as well as commissioning services from independent providers.

The ALNI team is a very busy team and the successful candidate will be expected to work to tight deadlines. It is expected that the successful candidate will use their own initiative and manage their workload accordingly. Although the post is predominately stand alone, it is part of a wider team of professionals including caseworkers, educational psychologists and specialist teachers.

As the ideal candidate, you will have worked within a local authority finance environment and have an understanding of council budgets and finance along with an analytical and solution focussed approach.
