Governor Support Officer

Cyngor Sir Benfro

Cyflog: Grade 5 - £24,294 - £25,545

Job Description

The post is full time and will require occasional work beyond the normal working day to take minutes of governing body meetings which start at the end of the school day. Time off as flexi time can be taken to take account of this. Interested candidates are welcome to discuss this with the Service Manager in advance of applying.

Governors' Support Services (GSS) provides an administrative and advice service to the governing bodies of most of the schools in Pembrokeshire. We are looking to recruit a colleague with excellent communication, organisation and IT skills. Key aspects of the post involve maintaining records of governors on a database, taking bookings for training courses, compiling packs for meetings of school governing bodies, attending the meetings to take minutes and quality assuring the minutes of others. You will occasionally have to work under pressure to meet deadlines but will be well supported by experienced colleagues who will provide training in all aspects of the role.

If you wish to discuss the post in advance of submitting an application, please contact David Thompson, Education Access & Compliance Officer: David.Thompson@pembrokeshire.gov.uk
