Job Description
Grade 6 - £25,979 for 29 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £17,886 pro rata.
The Governors of Waldo Williams Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced HLTA to lead our Nursery setting.
The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the establishment of a team of highly motivated professionals who will work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicant must create a positive, nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to meet their potential.
A good standard of education, an understanding of child development, together with excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

- have the attainment of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or qualifies teacher status or equivalent qualification
- build positive relationships with all learners, their families and the Early Years team
- have the ability to create a supportive, welcoming, and well-ordered classroom environment
- Plan, prepare and deliver sessions
- have excellent numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths
