The role:
The college's Employability department supports a diverse range of unemployed, economically inactive and underemployed clients of all ages and backgrounds from across the local community. As a member of the Employability department, you will work with clients throughout their employability journey to support them in identifying and overcoming barriers to gaining, retaining and progressing within employment.

- Full Time (37 hours per week)
- Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2024
- £26,907 - £29,242 per annum
- Kingsway Centre, Swansea
- To work with clients in one-to-one and group settings to identify barriers to gaining, retaining and progressing within employment and to support clients in overcoming these barriers through the development and delivery of individualised support plans and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
- To manage a caseload of clients from initial referral and assessment through to programme completion and beyond to track outcome information and onward progress.
- To deliver a range of employability advice and support including job search skills, life skills, job applications, CV writing, interview skills etc, to clients on an individual/group basis through face-to-face, telephone, online and/or social media channels.
- Level 3 or above qualification
- Experience of delivering employment-focused advice and support
- Understanding of barriers to employment/progression and strategies to overcome these barriers
- Excellent communication skills
- 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
