The role:
The college's Employability department supports a diverse range of unemployed, economically inactive and underemployed clients of all ages and backgrounds from across the local community. As a member of the Employability department, you will provide general administrative support across the Employability department and be the first point of contact for employability clients and visitors to the Kingsway premises.

- 37 hours per week
- Fixed Term Contract until 31 st December 2024 (Maternity Cover)
- £23,404 - £23,903 per annum
- Kingsway Centre, Swansea
- To staff the Kingsway reception area and to deal efficiently, effectively and amiably with queries from clients, visitors and the general public, signposting accordingly where appropriate.
- To deliver a warm welcome to staff, clients, learners and visitors to the Kingsway, to act as the first point of contact for general queries received at the premises and to allocate appropriately to the relevant department/colleague.
- To undertake telephonist duties for the building, answering incoming calls and transferring or taking messages as required.
- To undertake routine administrative duties for the Employability department as required, such as filing, photocopying, minute-taking, preparing documents and arranging meetings
- Level 2 (Grade A-C) or equivalent Maths and English qualification.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and MIS systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a team
- 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
