Job Description

The Head Teacher and Governors of Johnston CP School are seeking to appoint a Teacher for our LRC to join our team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicant must create a positive, nurturing environment where students are encouraged to meet their potential.

Applicants must be an excellent classroom practitioner who:
  • Can effectively lead and develop specialist resource base programmes for children with complex ALN
  • Is able to differentiate and facilitate learning to the highest standards
  • Will build positive relationships with all learners, their families and the LRC team
  • Has the ability to create a supportive, welcoming, and well-ordered classroom environment
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the new ALN reform and Code of Practice

Management experience desirable as good staff management and relationships are key to the smooth operation of the LRC.

We are a friendly and welcoming school, committed to excellent care for our pupils and staff as well good professional development for our staff.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated with high expectations for pupils' learning.
