Lliswerry High School is a thriving, multi-cultural, 11-18 mixed comprehensive school on the eastern side of Newport close to the M4. We currently have a superb opportunity for a talented, passionate and highly motivated teaching assistant to join our school as part of our learning support team, focussed on delivering english literacy interventions.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player who will work closely with learners with additional learning needs, delivering individual and small group intervention programmes to build literacy skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering interventions to learners. In addition, you will have NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification. A professional approach to providing support and building positive relationships is essential in this role.
Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors.
