The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of our Examinations Officer for a professional individual to support the examination and assessment process at the College.

The College has a diverse curriculum and student base, including A levels, Vocational programmes between level 1 and 7, Apprenticeships, Higher Education and professional programmes, for learners age 14 and above.

The Examinations team are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the examining processes are undertaken effectively and ensuring that the integrity of the examining process is upheld.

  • £25,625 - £27,849 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate the running of external examinations at Gorseinon
  • Compliance with JCQ and Awarding body requirements
  • Specific responsibility for designated Awarding bodies, for entries, claims and supporting processes
About you:
  • Proven track record of managing / supervising staff and processes within an office environment
  • Knowledge of and experience of working within JCQ regulations
  • Experience of working in examinations
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to demonstrate working to deadlines
