Employability Advisor

Itec Training Solutions have the ideal opportunity for you! We are looking to recruit a hardworking and motivated individual to join our team as an Employability Advisor to provide positive end to end to structed support to participants on our employability skills programme.
If you have experience in working in this sector and / or a different sector such as customer service / support focused roles and can demonstrate the behaviours required aligned to our core values, we would like to hear from you.
Applicants are not expected to have experience in this sector; however, experience is welcome. We can offer a range of professional develop opportunities such as full company induction, legislative training packages, IEP Level 2 sector qualification and on-going coaching / mentoring.
Salary Banding: £20,000 to £23,000
Base: Cardiff
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:30pm


What are the core responsibilities of this role?

• Responsible for the pastoral care and wellbeing support of all learners.
• Responsible for the identification of learner personal support needs
• Responsible for being point of contact for all safeguarding issues
• Develop appropriate links and maintain good working relationships with external support organisations where appropriate and required.
• Responsible for conducting learner interviews and inductions including, meeting and greeting all learners, completing and checking all relevant documentation, delivering structured induction session and making sure all learners have a clear understanding of the provision and programme
• Accountable for directly delivering employability support, including job search guidance, soft skills, and motivational support.
• Liaise with the the employer engagement team to source sustainable employment or placement opportunities.
• Responsible for the re- engagement of participant who fail to attend provision



What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?

Essential

• Experience of working with unemployed Adults
• Experience of working within a targeted / performance driven environment
• Motivational and inspirational attitude with a passion to inspire people
• Professional and articulate with effective communication skills
• Full driving license with use of vehicle
Desirable
• IAG Qualification level 3 as a minimum or working towards or equivalent or willingness to work towards the IAG qualification
• Learning Coach L4 Qualification or equivalent
• Social Work experience / Qualification or equivalent
• Counselling experience / qualification or equivalent
• Ability to speak Welsh.
This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.
