Salary: £23,218 - £25,279 pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Hospitality Technician within the Hospitality department at Cardiff and Vale College. This role will be based at the City Centre Campus.

Responsibilities include:
  • To support the college by ensuring that the needs of the curriculum and administrative teams are met in terms of Hospitality support.
  • To drive and support the aims of Cardiff & Vale College:
  • To ensure the best possible learner experience and outcomes as seen in relevant College KPIs;
  • To enhance the reputation of Cardiff & Vale College at all times, in terms of both day to day internal interactions with all levels of staff and students, and external contacts;
  • To develop best practice in relation to workforce and workforce development within your area of responsibility;
  • To make your area of responsibility within Cardiff & Vale College an attractive place to work so that it can recruit and retain the best staff;
  • To promote and champion health, safety, well-being, equality and diversity within your area of responsibility and across a Welsh based Further Education College.
  • To co-ordinate and motivate the relevant teams within your area of responsibility and manage the College's resources effectively and efficiently.
  • To work creatively to promote and enhance the work of the College with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Completing timely sign off for invoices within budget approval rate, using college finance systems including Yooz.
  • To promote department/faculty collective leadership, knowledge sharing and relationship building across the organisation and the Further Education sector on behalf of the College.
  • Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
