Temporary Part-time Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

Contract Type: Part time Temporary until 31/3/24

Hours: Part Time 5 hours and 50 minutes per week

We are currently looking for a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for - securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during lunchtime

The main duties of the post;
  • To supervise the children, on a rota basis, in the playground , in the dinner hall and (during wet lunchtimes) in the class area;
  • To ensure discipline and good conduct of children during the consumption of a meal and whilst in the playground/ classroom;
  • To encourage children in the safe use of outdoor play equipment and with indoor games and activities;
  • To assist children, where necessary, in the opening of containers, etc;
  • To assist with any spillages, or cleaning of tables whilst lunch is being taken by children;
  • To ensure that the hall is cleared of debris pertaining to packed lunches;
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Headteacher from time to time, commensurate with the grade
You will have experience in/of;
  • Working with children

There are no formal qualifications required for this role, as full training will be provided.
