Llanfair is an English medium, co-educational primary school with attached nursery, for children from 3 to 11 years of age. We are situated in the hamlet of The Herberts, adjacent to St. Mary's Church, surrounded by stunning countryside views.

Pay Details: LSA Level 2 Grade 4 (SCP 5 -7)

Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week over 5 days (8.45am -3.45pm), 39 weeks per year.

Description:

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Llanfair Primary school are looking to appoint an experienced LSA to work in a Foundation phase mixed age class. We are looking for a dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic person to join our school family. We are looking for someone who is caring, enthusiastic and will enjoy working as part of a dedicated and professional team. We are seeking candidates who are confident and experienced in supporting children with their learning, under the guidance of the teacher. This role will initially be based within Foundation Phase, so experience of working with younger pupils is welcomed but not essential.

About you / Amdanat ti
You will need:
• Good numeracy/literacy/ICT skills.
• An NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification - achieved or undergoing training
• A working knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales.
• Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes.
• To be able to use ICT effectively to support learning.
• A commitment to the overall care and development of our pupils.
• A full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation in keep children safe.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• To work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.

DBS Check Required: Enhanced
