Childcare Tutor – JGW+

Itec Training Solutions has recently been awarded an exciting new contract. The new flexible programme will create life changing opportunities for young people aged 16 – 18 to reach their full potential and take their first steps into the world of work. Due to business growth, we are seeking to recruit for several roles.
We are looking to recruit a hardworking and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Tutor to deliver our qualification within the care sector. As a tutor you will work with our youth learners to attain a qualification through the delivery of classroom and vocational assessment and training

Salary Banding: £21,500 - £24,000 dependant on skills and experience
Location: South Wales
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 35 Hours a week, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

• Delivering specialist route in Health and Social Care and Childcare supporting learners within workshop or one to one setting using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support and motivate youth learners to enhance their qualifications.
• Develop creative lesson plans incorporating differentiated teaching styles and activities to ensure a quality learning experience.
• Registering, arranging, conducting, and invigilating controlled tasks with learners undertaking their Qualification in line with award body requirements
• Carrying out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities.
• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications to a quality standard in a timely fashion.

What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?

Essential

• Occupational experience within Health and Social or childcare care
• Level 2 within the care industry.
• Passionate about making a difference.
• Full driving license

Desirable

• City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in supporting Adults and Young People in Essential Skills
• Experience of working with vulnerable youths
• Engaging and inspirational training / delivery style
• Willingness to work towards, CAVA qualification / 8375 practitioners Award Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to speak Welsh desirable.


This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.
