An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the growth of the Advance into Further Education programme at the College. The College is seeking a qualified, committed and highly motivated individual to deliver a range of units on our Advance into Further Education and Bridge programmes from Entry 3 to Level 2. These programmes specifically support those learners who are undecided about their career path and may have some barriers to education.

The successful candidate will possess excellent classroom management skills coupled with the tenacity, commitment and patience to deal with learners who may display challenging behaviour.

You will develop and employ a variety of teaching and learning strategies, including the effective use of ILT, to ensure excellence and the achievement of course targets for retention and attainment.

As a clear and confident communicator, you will have the ability to motivate students and to create a positive learning environment and support a learner’s potential. You will also be required to undertake a personal tutor role.

You will be qualified to degree level with experience of delivering BTEC courses across any level. A background in sport or public services or an interest in these areas would be beneficial. You will possess/or be prepared to work towards a recognised teaching qualification and be able to adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of a variety of different age groups.
