Health & Social Care Assessor

ACT
What you will do:
You’ll work directly with learners in their workplaces, online and in training sessions, supporting them through their apprenticeship journey from start to achievement.
You will:
• Deliver engaging training, coaching and assessment up to Level 5
• Support learners to build confidence, skills and professional behaviours
• Plan and review Individual Learning Plans to track progress and success
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to keep learners motivated
• Build strong relationships with both learners and employers
• Manage your own caseload, diary and learner documentation
• Ensure all assessment and learning activity is accurately recorded and compliant
• Use digital tools and systems to enhance learning and track progress
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain quality and consistency
This is a field-based role across South Wales, meaning you’ll regularly visit learners in their workplace and bring learning to life in real-world settings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
What we need from you:
We’re open to both experienced assessors and experienced Health & Social Care professionals looking to move into training.

To be successful, you’ll need:

• At least 2 years’ occupational experience within the Health & Social Care sector
• Min. Level 3 occupational qualification or equivalent (in Health & Social Care)
• A Valid UK driving Licence and access to a vehicle
• Passionate about training/learning with strong creativity
• Ability to develop others
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
• Assessor qualification (or willingness to complete)
