The Governors of Bishop Gore School wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader who will continue to raise aspirations and ensure consistently outstanding learning opportunities and experiences for all students.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a new leader to build on our current success, develop a fresh perspective on whole-school improvement, and implement changes to enhance our student and staff experiences.
We are committed to developing as a learning organisation and take pride in being a strong community school. The governors of Bishop Gore School are highly ambitious for their staff and students.
We are looking for a committed professional who can demonstrate evidence of improving performance and raising standards for every member of the school community. We wish to appoint an exceptional Headteacher, with excellent leadership skills and high aspirations for our students, staff and parents, who will continue to maintain the ethos and character of our popular school. We are seeking to appoint a leader with wide-ranging school leadership experience and excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader, fully committed to the academic success, care and welfare of all our students and staff. The successful candidate must be able to articulate a vision of teaching and learning, and health and wellbeing that meets the needs of our community.
There is a continuous drive on Teaching and Learning and the staff CPD offer is exceptional. Governors aim to support the successful candidate in all aspects of school life, thereby creating a practice of effective learning and development throughout the school and its community.
An opportunity to visit the school for a group tour with members of the Pupil Governing Body and staff will be available at 4:00pm on Monday 23 March 2026. Please email Rebecca Hall ( [email protected] ) to confirm your attendance.
