Dylan Thomas Community School is a happy and safe school where the needs of all pupils are catered for and taken into account. All staff play a key part in ensuring that this continues. The successful candidate will be offered the full support and resources of the school to develop professionally in a highly supportive environment with inspirational and supportive colleagues.
In our February 2024 Inspection, Estyn stated that "Staff at Dylan Thomas Community School offer pupils a consistently high quality of Care, Support & Guidance. The school has an inclusive family feel and there are strong relationships between pupils and staff" The successful candidate will add to this and will also benefit from a strong, supportive staff wellbeing programme.
Dylan Thomas is a rapidly growing and successful school with committed staff which has seen a dramatic increase in pupil numbers and significant investment in facilities over the last three years. The school is oversubscribed in nearly all year groups. We have high expectations of all members of our school community with an emphasis on strong relationships and inclusivity.
Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative, talented, enthusiastic and committed teacher to teach English across KS3 & KS4. The school offers a supportive, well-resourced learning environment with a committed staff. The person appointed could be an NQT who would be offered excellent guidance and support.
The ability to communicate in Welsh would be advantageous but is not essential.
This post requires a DBS Check to enhanced level. Detailed Job descriptions, person specifications and application forms are available from e-teach www.eteach.com or [email protected]
Please note we only accept applications on school application forms.
