An earlier start in April 2026 is desirable; however, applications are welcomed from candidates who will complete their PGCE in summer 2026 and are available to start in September 2026.
We have an opportunity to appoint a permanent full-time teacher of Science.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and well qualified colleague with the ability to teach general Science at KS3 and at KS4 for all elements of the WJEC GCSE Science courses.
The Science department is very successful and over many years have consistently achieved outcomes higher than LA and all Wales averages as well as being consistently above modelled expectations.
The department has a strong team ethic with all colleagues contributing greatly to the department's practice and development. Science teachers are supported by two laboratory technicians, working out of designated Science laboratories, each one having an interactive whiteboard.
The department encourages a wide variety of teaching approaches and learning opportunities and sets high standards in developing 'in-house' resources.
Further details and application packs are available for download on our website: www.pontcomp.co.uk or the eTeach website: www.eteach.com
Closing Date: 30 January 2026 2.00 pm
Shortlisting: 2 February 2026
Interviews: 5 February 2026
