Pontlliw Primary is a vibrant, highly successful school, just off Junction 47 on the M4. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos. We are a situated in the middle of the village and the School is an important part of the community. The Governing Body is looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational teacher to join our Progression Step 3 team in January 2025.
Candidates are asked to outline their own philosophy of primary education, their experience and the qualities they would bring to the school. The post requires:

- A practitioner with high expectations of achievement and behaviour and a commitment to developing the emotional and physical well-being of pupils.
- The ability to maintain effective communication and working strategies with colleagues.
- An awareness of Curriculum for Wales.
- A commitment to innovative pedagogy.
- A willingness to participate fully in the life of our school community (including after school clubs) and contribute to the strong team ethos.
- A sound work ethic plus adaptability and flexibility, to ensure the smooth running of our school.
- A good standard of Welsh as a first or second language to maintain the school's bilingual standards.
- Very good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.

- Developing the creative aspects of the curriculum such as P.E.
- A high level of IT skills.
