The role:

Based primarily at reception, the key focus will be to act as the first point of contact for internal and external customers and students. The postholder will provide advice and guidance across all areas of learning support, both in person and over the phone, while delivering excellent customer service, completing essential marketing, admissions and learner experience administration and promoting the Gower College Swansea brand.
  • Part Time (17 hours per week)
  • Term time (36 weeks per annum)
  • Fixed Term until 31st August 2026
  • Monday - Thursday evenings (4:15pm to 8:30pm)
  • £9,063 - £9,256 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily reception duties at the designated campus, including answering telephone calls and responding to emails and other written communications - bilingually where required.
  • Greet all internal and external visitors in a professional manner, managing the visitor log, and directing them appropriately following the Visitors Policy.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all campus enquiries, handling incoming calls, emails (including the enquiries inbox), and messages effectively.
About you:
  • Welsh Language Skills Level 3 (see descriptors)
  • GCSE Maths and English qualifications (Grade A-C)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and MIS systems
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced customer facing role.
