We are seeking an exceptional Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCo) to join our federation: a values-driven community where every child is known, valued and supported to flourish.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape our inclusive provision across our two schools, ensuring that children with additional learning needs receive the highest quality support, intervention and opportunities to succeed.
Working alongside the Executive Headteacher, Heads of School, staff, families and external agencies, you will play a pivotal role in creating a culture where inclusion is everyone's responsibility and every learner can thrive.

- Lead the implementation of the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act
- Coordinate high-quality person-centred planning and individual development plans (IDPs)
- Support staff in delivering effective universal provision and targeted interventions
- Monitor the progress, wellbeing and achievement of learners with additional learning needs
- Build strong partnerships with families and carers
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals
- Provide advice, guidance and professional learning to staff
- Promote a culture where inclusion, equity and belonging are at the heart of school life
Above all, you will help ensure that every child is understood, supported and empowered to succeed.

- Values-driven, compassionate and child-centred
- A trauma-informed practitioner
- An excellent classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of effective inclusive practice
- Knowledgeable about Additional Learning Needs legislation and provision in Wales
- Skilled in working collaboratively with families, colleagues and external agencies
- Organised, solution-focused and able to manage complex casework effectively
- Committed to professional learning and continuous improvement
- Able to inspire others and champion high aspirations for all learners
Additional qualifications relating to the ALNCo role (or a commitment to undertake such qualifications) would be highly desirable.
