The successful candidate will be genuinely interested in the process by which pupils acquire and develop knowledge and skills and be passionate in their pursuit of improving the life chances of all pupils in their care.

The right candidate would be required to start from 1 September 2025 for 1 term, in the first instance.
This appointment is subject to the current conditions of employment of teachers contained in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document, and the Framework of Professional Standards for Teaching and Leadership for Class Teachers and Post Threshold Teachers.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding and a record that shows impact with the following points. They will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Embrace the use of Welsh language and inspire children to learn Welsh

  • Have a clear understanding of the pedagogical principals that underpin Curriculum for Wales 2022
  • Have a clear understanding of inclusion
  • A desire to promote independent learning, innovative approaches and a high level of learner engagement
  • Confidently deliver outdoor learning in our school grounds and beyond
  • Be able to contribute to self-evaluation and improvement planning
  • Be innovative and make contributions to the development of the team, including being willing to lead within an area of learning.
  • Possess excellent ICT skills
  • Be willing to provide children with extra-curricular opportunities
  • Be interested in education and have a desire to keep on learning and developing
  • Have a strong understanding of AfL
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
