About the job
What You'll Do:
- Support learners both in and out of the classroom, helping them engage with
their lessons in a positive and interactive way. - Create a safe, stimulating, and fun learning environment that encourages
curiosity and builds self-confidence. - Work closely with teachers and other staff to develop tailored strategies and
ensure each learner's needs are met. - Be a mentor, a cheerleader, and a trusted adult who students can rely on.

What We Are Looking For From You
Are you an energetic, creative, and passionate individual who loves working with
young learners? Do you have experience or an interest in supporting learners with
additional learning needs in a fun, dynamic environment? If so, Nyth y Deryn is the
place for you.
We're looking for:
- A fun and lively personality, with a can-do attitude!
- Experience working with students in a PRU setting, or similar environments
where learners have additional learning needs. - A passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning, and
supporting their personal growth. - Strong communication skills and a creative approach to supporting individual
learning styles. - A willingness to engage in all aspects of school life and be an active part of our
vibrant community.
Additional information
This role is part-time at 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The advertised salary is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The actual salary will be lower than the advertised salary because of the part-time hours and weeks worked.
This post attracts an Additional Learning Needs allowance of £561.84 per annum.
This post has a requirement for registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
