The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced Headteacher in all aspects of leadership and management of the school.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner from whom others can learn
• Have demonstrable, highly effective leadership and management skills
• Play a significant role in the Strategic direction and life of the school
• Have an in depth understanding of self-evaluation approaches for school improvement and how to ensure impact on Teaching and learning and pupil outcomes
• Be a leader committed to the development of teaching and learning and assessment across the school to the highest standard
• Be a leader responsible for the further development of Curriculum for Wales, a curriculum fit for the 21st Century
• Possess the qualities to lead and motivate others
• Be able to work under pressure, have excellent time management and be able to use this to prioritise
• Have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and organisational skills
• Have high levels of resilience and a tireless ambition to improve the school to be the best it can be for our pupils
• Show a commitment to working in partnership with children, staff, Governors, parents and the local community and be a leader responsible for further developing links with all
• Align fully with our school vision of ensuring children become the best citizens, the best learners, the best individuals and the best contributors they can be during their time at Pentrechwyth
